Kids between 2 to 5 years of age will surely keep their bodies and minds busy with wonder filled literacy fun, awe-inspiring scientific discoveries, engaging mathematical challenges, imaginative crafts, melodious music, creative rhythmic movements and more!

We aim to develop a life-long love of learning and discovery through a Purposeful Curriculum, collaboration with families, following and implementing Developmentally Appropriate Practice guidelines of teaching and caring for young children.


Everyday programs for the preschooler, from two-year-olds through five, have carefully-planned curricula addressing all domains of development. Activities are conducted through play.


With a balance of academic learning and social interaction through play, this program offers children of mixed ages a variety activities and routines through songs, games, and creative arts, three times each week.


Fondly called “Block and a Half”, children aged 18 months through 23 months are immersed in a playful environment that provides learning opportunities to both child and care-giver.  Interactive activities aim to develop language, physical, and socio-emotional skills.


This extended-day program is a service that 9th Avenue School provides its students and children from other schools.  Routines include nap/rest-time, creative arts, literacy and games.


A variety of programs are available after regular preschool classes. Mostly held in the afternoons, these may include “Readers’ Avenue,” “Fun-Nics”, one-on-one tutorials, “KidzArt”, baseline Early Childhood Assessment, and Summer Classes.

Through play, at a very early age, children learn about the world they’re in.  Play allows children to create and explore a world they can master, conquering their fears while practicing adult roles, sometimes in conjunction with other children or adult caregivers.
